Tanzania is strategically located in the East African region, bordering
the Indian Ocean on the East, with about 1400km of coastline. It covers
947,300 square kilometers and it’s ranked 31st in the world's
size ranking. It borders Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi, Malawi, Zambia,
Mozambique and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Of
Tanzania’s eight neighbours, six are land-locked, making the country,
East Africa’s second largest economy, a natural economic hub, offering
natural access and commercial links to the rest of the region. Tanzania
therefore offers the right platform for businesses seeking to develop
and expand operations in the East African region.
